Britt Pendergrast Part 2

“It boils down to a concern for others, as opposed to a total focus on one’s own welfare. The building of a safety net, taxes, redistribution of wealth.  My view is, the only way that 100 percent of people are going to contribute to the safety net is through government action, and therefore government should be totally responsible for creating the safety net. But it’s how wise the enforcers and encouragers are that determine how that’s going to work. That’s the flaw in the whole ointment; the power to plan socialism can be bastardized to be the power to be wrong, and how we get wise and compassionate people in these positions to regulate our industries and our national programs; I have no answer to that.”
